Untitled at the Whitney Museum / Gramercy Tavern

I made the second illustration after spending a year and half cooking at New York's Gramercy Tavern. Six months of my time there was spent as the tavern roaster, charged with manning the wood-fired grill while cooking all meat and fish for the restaurant's front room. My favorite part was melting the cheese in baby cast iron skillets, which I tried to here capture.

I was delighted to then be invited to illustrate the burger at Gramercy Tavern's younger sister restaurant, Untitled at the Whitney Museum.
